Fall Paint Schemes | Ace Paints
Don’t you ever wish you could enjoy your favorite season all year? You can! By carefully crafting a paint scheme, it’s easy to bring the colors of seasons like fall into the various rooms of your home. Popular options? Shades of brown, orange and red, of course. Check out a few go-to paint schemes for year-round fall vibes and get to work, pumpkin spice latte in-hand.

Browns

Shades of brown might get muddled outside, but they lend to rich looks inside the home. This is especially true when paired with other familiar fall hues.

Mocha

Warm, dark browns like mocha might not be as common in nature, per se, but they create that cozy feeling you’re after. Crisp, cold air. Hot cocoa. You get the idea. What’s nice is that shades like this have a strong presence that blend well with milder, neutral shades to add some pop without being overwhelming. For example: mocha walls with white trim in the living room.

Latte

Coffee is for sure a fall color theme! In any case, neutral is a safe option all year round, and shades like latte also give a nod to autumn. Neutral browns are warm and welcoming for your home, making them popular. Bonus points: shades like latte work well with seasonal decor, as they create a nice backdrop for decorations which should be taking center stage.

Oranges

On its own, orange is often bright and bold. Your personality might be, too. If so, brighter orange is an autumn enthusiast’s ideal color. Experimenting with the various shades of the color and accent uses is also essential to setting the right mood, which can vary widely.

Burnt Orange

This shade is a happy medium between orange and brown and is bright enough without being too much to handle. It evokes a sense of calm and richness, especially when paired with vintage or antique metal decor. Can’t commit to burnt orange as a paint color? It’s also a hot choice for accents like pillows and curtains.

Pumpkin

Besides fallen leaves, what do you think of when the fall season approaches? Pumpkins, of course. As a color, pumpkin is the epitome of autumn, combining a rustic vibe with vibrant notes. It might get a little overwhelming on its own, though, so pairing it with other colors is ideal. Earthy tones like dark greens and muted browns combined with pumpkin infuse a sense of calm into any room.

Reds

Sure, red might be intense, but only if that’s your goal. The color is mostly used to create a sense of depth in a room, as well as add a touch of charm.

Garnet

An overall bold hue, garnet has the potential to command the room. If that’s not the intention, however, you can achieve a pop of color without sacrificing a warm and inviting space. Just turn to your decor and furnishings to get the right look, like neutral sofas and wall art.

Ruby

Red has a gemstone theme! Ruby red is pretty deep, but that means it coordinates well. Combine ruby red with shades of orange or even pink to create an unexpected but gorgeous look. Another idea: If deep red isn’t the right paint color, turn to velvet furniture pieces.
